Terms
Paz Terms of Service Effective date: 10 October 2026
1.1 Paz is a service of HG Connect UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Spatzenweg 17, 85238 Petershausen, Germany ("we", "us"). 1.2 Paz is for businesses only. By ordering, you confirm that you act for a business and not as a consumer. 1.3 These terms apply to every order of Paz. Your own terms do not apply, even if you send them to us.
2.1 Paz is an AI phone assistant. It answers calls that your business forwards to it, tells callers it is an AI, collects their details, and sorts calls into "danger", "urgent" and "not urgent" using the rules you agree with us. 2.2 For urgent calls, Paz tries to reach the people on your on-call list, in the order you give us, until one of them accepts or the escalation time you set runs out. 2.3 Paz sends you a summary of each call by email. 2.4 The functions included in your plan are described on callpaz.com at the time of your order. We may improve or change functions. We will not remove a core function (answering, escalation, call summaries) during a paid month without telling you first.
3.1 Paz is not an emergency service and does not replace 911. In a dangerous situation Paz tells the caller to leave and contact 911 or the gas or power company. 3.2 Paz does not guarantee that every call is answered, that every call is understood correctly, or that a person on your on-call list accepts. Phone networks, call forwarding, internet services and AI speech recognition can fail. 3.3 You must keep a fallback (for example voicemail) for calls that Paz cannot take. 3.4 Paz does not give technical, medical, legal or price advice beyond the information you tell us to give.
4.1 You set up call forwarding and keep it working. You keep your on-call list and phone numbers correct and tell us about changes. 4.2 You decide which calls count as urgent, which fees Paz may mention, and what Paz may tell callers. You check the summaries you receive. 4.3 You are responsible for your own work, prices and promises to your customers. 4.4 You must not use Paz for health care, for taking payments on calls, for outbound marketing calls, or for anything illegal. 4.5 You are responsible for the notices and consents your callers need under the law of your state. By default, Paz tells every caller that it is an AI and that the call may be recorded. You must not ask us to switch these notices off.
5.1 The price is shown on callpaz.com when you order. The founding price is USD 149 per month. 5.2 Payment is monthly in advance by card through our payment provider Stripe. Your first payment is due after your setup call and before Paz goes live on your line. After that, your card is charged on the same day each month. 5.3 Your plan includes 500 call minutes per month. Call minutes are the minutes Paz is connected to a caller. Calls Paz makes to your on-call list do not count. We email you when you pass 400 minutes and again at 500. Extra minutes cost USD 0.30 per minute. Extra minutes are charged on your next monthly invoice. Unused minutes do not carry over. 5.4 We may change the price with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not agree, you may cancel before the new price applies. 5.5 Prices do not include taxes that you must pay in your country or state.
6.1 If you cancel within 30 days of your first payment, we refund that first payment in full. You do not need to give a reason. 6.2 The guarantee applies once per business. It does not apply to later monthly payments. 6.3 We refund to the card you paid with, normally within 5 business days of your cancellation. Your bank may need more time to show it. 6.4 When you cancel under the guarantee, the service stops on the day of cancellation. Please switch off call forwarding to Paz on that day.
7.1 Your subscription runs month to month. 7.2 You may cancel at any time in your billing portal (link in every receipt) or by email to henrik@callpaz.com. 7.3 Outside the 30-day guarantee, cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for. We do not refund part months. 7.4 We may cancel with 30 days' notice by email. We may suspend or cancel at once if you do not pay, if you break section 4.4, or if your use puts the service or other customers at risk. If we cancel without cause, we refund the unused part of the current month.
8.1 We are liable without limit for damage caused by intent or gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under any guarantee we give, and where the law does not allow a limit. 8.2 For slight negligence, we are liable only if we break an obligation that is essential to the service and that you may rely on ("essential obligation"). In that case our liability is limited to the damage that was typical and foreseeable when you ordered. 8.3 In the case of 8.2, our total liability per calendar year is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage. 8.4 Otherwise our liability for slight negligence is excluded. This includes lost jobs, lost profit and damage caused by calls that Paz did not answer or did not escalate, unless 8.1 or 8.2 applies. 8.5 Sections 8.1 to 8.4 also apply to our employees and the companies we use to provide Paz.
9.1 When Paz handles your calls, we process the data of your callers on your behalf and on your instructions. The data processing terms in Annex 1 apply. 9.2 Our privacy policy (callpaz.com/privacy) explains how we handle the data of you and visitors to our website.
We may change these terms. We will email you the changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you do not cancel before then, the new terms apply. We will point this out in the email.
11.1 German law applies. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply. 11.2 The courts of Munich, Germany, have exclusive jurisdiction, as far as the law allows. 11.3 These terms are written in English. If a translation is provided, the English version prevails.
HG Connect UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Spatzenweg 17, 85238 Petershausen, Germany. henrik@callpaz.com.
A1. Roles. You are the controller of your callers' data. We process it as your processor, only to provide Paz and only on your documented instructions. These terms and your settings in Paz are your instructions.
A2. Data. Caller phone number, voice recording, transcript, name, address, problem description, time of the call, and the on-call actions taken. Data subjects: your callers and the people on your on-call list.
A3. Confidentiality. Everyone at HG Connect who can access the data is bound to confidentiality.
A4. Security. We use encrypted connections, access limited to named people with two-factor login, separate test and live systems, and deletion after the retention period (90 days for recordings and transcripts, unless you ask for a shorter period).
A5. Sub-processors. You allow us to use these sub-processors:
| Sub-processor | Job | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Retell AI, Inc. | Answers the call, records it, writes the transcript | USA |
| Twilio Inc. | Numbers, calls to the on-call list | USA |
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Call logic and database | USA / global |
| Resend, Inc. | Sends the call summary emails | USA |
| Google LLC | our email and documents, for support and quality checks | USA |
To run each call, Retell uses its own sub-processors: a language model provider, speech-to-text and text-to-speech providers, and a phone carrier. For Paz these are: OpenAI (language model), Cartesia (voice), and speech-to-text from Deepgram, Microsoft Azure, AssemblyAI or Soniox (Retell sends each call to one of these and switches to another if one fails). The phone carrier is our own Twilio account, listed above. Retell publishes its full current list at trust.retellai.com/subprocessors. Retell adds a new sub-processor to that list at least 15 days before it is used. We check the list every week and email you about changes that affect your callers’ data.
We tell you by email at least 14 days before we add or replace a sub-processor. You may object; if we cannot address your objection, you may cancel.
A6. Transfers. Where data leaves the EU or EEA, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the EU standard contractual clauses. Resend, Twilio, Cloudflare and Google are certified under the Data Privacy Framework. For Retell, we rely on the EU standard contractual clauses (Commission Decision 2021/914) in Retell’s data processing agreement.
A7. Help. We help you answer requests from callers (access, deletion) and tell you without undue delay, and within 48 hours where possible, if we become aware of a breach of your callers' data.
A8. End. When your subscription ends, we delete your callers' data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can ask for an export before that.
A9. Audits. You may ask for information to check that we meet these terms. On-site audits need 30 days' notice and are at your cost.
